The Supreme Council is the governing body and highest sovereign authority of Mandatum, constituted as a collegiate body of three dignitaries who hold the lifelong rank of Magnus Magister: the Magnus Eques (President), the Magnus Eques Adiunctus (Vice President), and the Custos Secretorum (Secretary General). This council exercises the Jus Honorum and the strategic direction of the Order under a strict principle of unanimity for decision-making, ensuring institutional stability through six-year terms with partial rotating renewals every two years.

Magnus Magister College

English The Magnus Magister is the rank of highest dignity and hierarchy within Mandatum, granted for life to those who have served on the Supreme Council. These dignitaries constitute the College of Magnus, an elite body limited to twelve members that acts as a consultative organ and holds the exclusive competence to elect the members of the Order’s government. They are distinguished by the use of the post-nominal letters “MM” in their official signature

Grand Chancery

English The Grand Chancery is the central governing body, dependent on the Supreme Council, responsible for directing foreign policy and managing Mandatum’s international relations. Under the leadership of the Grand Chancellor, it acts as the Order’s diplomatic arm, administering representation before sovereign States and international organizations. Its structure operates through a “Dual Track” system that ensures the institution’s sovereign projection and humanitarian operability worldwide, whether through full diplomatic missions or institutional representations.
