The Organization
Consilium Supremum
The Consilium Supremum is the governing body within the organizational structure of the Mandatum. Its main responsibilities include:
- Establishing general policies and guidelines governing all operations of the organization.
- Making strategic decisions on new initiatives and large-scale projects
- Approval of high-level appointments, including Legatus and Cancellarii Regionalis
- Overseeing organizational performance and adjusting strategies as needed
Regional Chancellors and Ambassadors
The diplomatic representation of the Mandatum is divided into two levels:
1.Cancellarii Regionalis (Regional Chancellor):
- Acts as the official representative in the initial stages of collaboration with countries or organizations.
- Establishes the foundations of a relationship of trust and mutual understanding.
- Oversees the signing of initial agreements and negotiation of the framework agreement.
2.Legatus (Ambassador):
- Represents a higher level of diplomatic representation
- Appointed when a strong relationship of trust is established
- Has the authority to negotiate broader agreements and coordinate multiple projects
- Acts as the primary liaison between the Mandatum and host country authorities or partner organization leaders
Roles of the Attorneys
The Procuratores (Procurators) play a crucial role in the management of specific projects:
- They are appointed for each specific project.
- Oversee all aspects of the project, from planning to execution
- Act as the head of the local commission or chapter for a specific project
- Ensure that projects are carried out according to agreed plans and meet established objectives
Gentlemen’s/Ladies’ Membership System
The Cavaleri/Domina (Knights/Dames) form the base of the organization:
- They are members of the order in different ranks.
- Ranks are assigned according to each member’s contribution and dedication to the mission and projects of the Mandatum.
- They can play various roles within the organization, from supporting specific projects to participating in strategic decision making.
- The rank system allows for progression based on merit and contribution.
Volunteer System
The Mandatum also incorporates a robust volunteer system:
- Provides opportunities for individuals to contribute to specific projects without being formal members of the order.
- Includes short- and long-term volunteer programs
- Provides training and orientation for volunteers
- Allows the organization to expand its reach and operating capacity
- Encourages community involvement and overall commitment to the mission of the Mandatum
This organizational structure allows Mandatum to tailor its level of representation to the nature and intensity of each relationship, facilitate effective implementation of its global initiatives, and maintain a strong base of committed members and volunteers at different levels of the organization.
